Saturday fun!

Yes, I decided to go to Japan in June!
Unfortunately, Sam will be on his way in about 2 weeks, so my parents wanted to take him out to lunch for some Korean BBQ before he departs for 3 whole months.

Yummy!

YUM-O!

We also left room for desert, which was beard papa's cream puffs! They are little clouds of goodness. I'm digging the strawberry favored puffs. I heard these are all over Japan. Speaking of Japan I decided to blog about my adventures on the Shinkansen.

Focus your brain

As usual I'm having a very difficult time focusing. Sometimes I feel brain dead or the internet is my worst enemy. I get distracted so easily. I suppose it is the topic of interest, which is not interesting at all. Must focus now!

Pointsettea!

Holy crap! A lady called during the same week I lost my wallet and told me she found it in her Pointsettea plant after purchasing it from Trader Joe's. I was pretty pleased. There are nice people out there :)
Here is my little plant:

Day 3!

Oh my what a pain in the ASS!

First thing in the morning I called the tow truck company to drag my car to the mechanic shop. Then I went to the DMV for a replacement license, which cost $22.00.  The first DMV office's computer system/terminals were down so they advised me to go to another location.  I was off to another DMV office further away.  My request was processed within 5 minutes, it was great!   Finally, I came home and called a bunch of places such as the healthcare insurance company, public library (replacement card $2.00) and I registered on-line for the fraud/identity protection thing. Oh fun!

On brighter side I was able to:
  • Stay home on a rainy day
  •  Avoid daily traffic to work
  • Get organized (since I had to search and look through piles of bills, papers & etc. to retrieve all necessary items).
  • Eat a hardy breakfast with Pops
  • Sort my laundry
  • Clean up

I'm having a bad day!

Not to mention I lost my wallet about one hour ago. Oh fun!
It fell out of my jacket pocket :(. I guess stress kind of distracted me and I didn't realize it was gone.  Then I retraced my steps for about an hour and realized that wallet was long gone.  I came home and called the bank, credit card companies, health insurance people and etc.  I can't remember all the items in my wallet but I do remember all the important ones.  Oh I can't forget I also had $25.00 in there, which is nothing compared to the damage someone could of done with the items in it (credit cards).  Anyway, my bad day needs to go away.  I feel bad but everything is replaceable though a pain in the ass.

Winter Break

I'm official done with my first quarter! Whoo-hoo! To celebrate I went to Disneyland and California Adventure.  It was a blast since it was all decked out.
After all that fun at the happiest place on Earth I get hit with some bad news:

First, my mac book isight died and I have to send it off to get it fixed. Boo!
Second, my car died. Boo-hoo!
I'm kind of upset about the whole situation. Back in May/June I went up north and since then my car has not been the same.  It runs fine but at times while slowing down or at a stop sign/signal the engine shuts off?!?!? So I took it to the mechanic and he said the throttle body needs to be replaced.  Okay what do I know about cars just fix it but he then explained that the part itself costs $815.00 WTF? Seriously, $815.00 WTF?

So he suggested to clean the part instead of replacing it now, which would cost $250.00 instead of a whooping $815!  So I decided to clean it instead but knowing it might fail again then I would still have to spend the $815 (part only) but the mechanic made a deal with me (since he is a family friend) he offered to clean it and if it fails he will replace the throttle body for $815.00 only no labor fees as the labor fee is already the $250.00 for cleaning it, so I'm in and made an appointment to take it in tomorrow.  BUT...I tried to start my car this morning and soon after it starts it would shut off continuously unless your foot is on the gas pedal but as soon as it's off the car shuts off again.  How am I suppose to put it in drive?
So now I have to tow my car over there :(

Well besides my car, computer & money dilemma, I'm still thankful for my existence here on earth and I will continue to enhance every part of it.

This is my hood.
